Before, during and after the show we spent some time exploring New York. On the day before the preview we walked 14km from Columbus Circle to Brooklyn. It was great to see so much in the sunshine, even though my feet complained for the next couple of days! There was a lot of eating too :-) Here is a snapshot of our trip:
We found a good bakery on the first day and kept going back!
It was really lovely to have Chris with me throughout. He is a massive supporter and encourager and I love him.
Central Park
Bluebells in Central Park. Everything was in bloom and it felt so great in the sunshine the first couple of days.
I took a lot of photos of water towers during the week! I'll just share one photo of many :-)
A view from the Highline
I spent a lot of time looking up! There is inspiration everywhere.
Tree tops and buildings
Spotted these windows with shutters which seemed fairly unusual to me.
Tiles on arches near Brooklyn Bridge
Walking over Brooklyn Bridge
A massive metal something on the side of a street...?
Looking up at buildings disappearing into clouds. The Saturday and Sunday were SO wet! Heavy rain all day long, it didn't stop us exploring but we were absolutely drenched!!
We visited the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
And Grand Central Station
Near Times SquareThe Chrysler Building as spotted from the corner by New York Public Library.
