Almost 20 years to the day since I left Bishopsland, I returned for a summer school class. I did a three day press forming course with silversmith Angela Cork. It was a brilliant few days, Angela shared so much knowledge, I learned a huge amount. I was on the course with Kathie Murphy, Sonia Cheadle and Mary Ann Simmons, all brilliant makers it was a pleasure to get to know better. The course was brilliantly supported by Charmine Ghuss. As well as learning there was lots of laughter, foraging, walks and meals together - here are a few photos...

Checking the fit of a copper rim on my press formed shape

The press formed shape carved into the soldering block so it would stay steady whilst heating.

All of our press forms from the three days.

Dinner on our final night was shared, we all contributed and it was a lovely, funny evening.
