From Our Own Correspondence

I'm delighted to be part of the exhibition From Our Own Correspondence, curated by Kathie Murphy. It's an exhibition that involves 21 jewellers, who were paired in a continuous chain, so that each jeweller was both commissioner and commissioned.

The brief was to send our appointed jeweller 'something' - this could be an object, a poem, something significant, or just fun - to be incorporated or used as a prompt for a piece of jewellery. The correspondence between the two jewellers forms part of the exhibition.

I received some beautiful railway nails from Lindsey Mann, and the brooch below is my response to these. I sent a small red drill case to Poppy Norton and she made a brooch which incorporated this. Images below!

The letter from Lindsey
Lindsey wrote her letter on a beautiful screen print of her work. She anodises the aluminium with these patterns for her jewellery. I will frame this after the exhibition!
