Christmas open studios

My first open studios at Cockpit Arts took place at the beginning of the month. It felt a little strange to be packing away my tools having only recently set up my new space! It was a lovely weekend chatting to visitors, getting to know other makers and generally feeling festive.

COSMIMA

COSMIMA is a jewellery collective of 5 makers (Daphne Krinos, Louise O’Neill, Chris Carpenter, Hidemi Asano and Ulla Hornfeldt) who have been exhibiting together for 14 years. Each year they have a November show in Clerkenwell and invite 4 guest makers, this year they were Adi Toch, Simone ten Hompel, Isabelle Busnel and me! It was a wonderful weekend…

Lustre

At the beginning of November I headed up to Nottingham to exhibit at Lustre. Lakeside Arts is a great venue within Nottingham University campus. We had lovely weather and it was great to get out of London and try a new event.

My stand at Lustre - the show is in multiple rooms across two buildings and I was in the theatre - a little darker than expected!

And that’s it. Quite a short show compared to others I have done. Just Friday night, Saturday and Sunday.

Elements Edinburgh

Last weekend I went up to Edinburgh to exhibit at Elements for the first time. Elements, now in it’s fourth year, is a selling fair and exhibition dedicated to jewellery and silversmithing and held in the beautiful Lyon & Turnbull Auction Rooms. Here are some photos from the weekend:

The Mastaba

I have finally been on a pedalo on the Serpentine! It is something I have wanted to do for ages and it was extra fantastic as I got to see The Mastaba (project for London, Hyde Park, Serpentine Lake) by Christo and Jeanne-Claude from all angles. We also popped into the Serpentine Gallery to see Barrels and The Mastaba 1958-2018 and this years Serpentine Pavillon designed by Frida Escobedo. A great August Bank Holiday weekend!
