Inventing seeds

My work, ExhibitionsEmily Kidson

Just before Christmas I joined the London based Dialogue Collective. This March we took a collaborative exhibition to Munich Jewellery Week. We set up the micronation of Temporaria as an alternative to Brexit. We each had individual job titles and made work in response to these. Mine was the Seed Inventor.

Part 1

A selection of seed cubes from the Seed Bank vaults which have been chosen because they demonstrate the vast range of our collection. We have such a wealth of seeds which can make new foods, materials, objects and complete fictions a reality.

Part 2

Five large experimental seeds which have been allowed to grow under strictly controlled lab conditions. Early stages of germination are visible.

These are all part of the mission to bring sustainable colour and life to the Nation of Temporaria.
