The Association for Contemporary Jewellery is celebrating its 20th year and as part of this they invited members to submit work for a touring exhibition. I was delighted that my sculptural Fold necklace was selected. The exhibition has already been to the National Centre for Craft & Design in Sleaford and Sheffield Institute of Arts and this month it arrived in London. I went to the private view on Thursday 18th May at the Goldsmiths’ Centre:
Better later than never! London Craft Week ran from 3rd-7th May and I did a whistle-stop tour of four exhibitions including seeing my own work in Jaggedart. This was only a tiny fraction of things happening across London however it always comes around really quickly and then is suddenly over! Anyway, here are the photos:
Last week I went to Makers House to see a unique collaboration between Burberry and the Henry Moore Foundation. It was on for a week following Burberry’s February runway show and I found out about it through social media where more and more people were posting about it! It felt like such a privilege to be able to see the collection and exhibition.
For my birthday weekend we took a trip to Broadstairs and Margate. I’d never been to either and we had a brilliant time exploring. We ate lots of lovely food (including ice-cream), walked along the beach, saw a film in a tiny cinema and went to the Turner Contemporary…
I have just returned from a most wonderful weekend in Amsterdam where I was exhibiting at SIERAAD International Jewellery Art Fair. This was my first time exhibiting at the well known show and it was so great to be part of it. There were over 20 UK based jewellers exhibiting which made the experience a lot less daunting than it otherwise would have been! Here are some images from the weekend:
