Monthly Archives: January 2015
With this my first blog post of the year I wish you a wonderful 2015!
January has gone incredibly quickly for me and I have been busy planning and preparing for the year ahead. Last year surpassed my jewellery expectations in so many ways and I started 2015 a bit uncertain of how I wanted to move forward. So I have been busy with large sheets of paper, pens and some business guidance from the Design Trust.
This process has really helped me to keep everything in perspective, given me some goals and new ambitions as well as highlighted areas for improvement. So watch out this year for new work, new exhibitions and an improved online shop!
The first of my 2015 exhibitions opened today at Llantarnam Grange in Cwmbran. I have a jewellery showcase on until March 14th so do take a look if you are in the area. In the main gallery is a fantastic exhibition of pinnies – you can read more about it here, including my artist statement in Welsh! And on Tuesday it is the induction day for the Crafts Council’s Hothouse programme and I can’t wait to start.
I look forward to sharing my 2015 jewellery adventures with you :-)
